Hergetova Cihelna Restaurant (the Brick House) is set in a prime location by the river in Mala Strana. This stylish, modern eatery offers fine views of Charles Bridge and across to Prague's Old Town.The interior of the restaurant is spread over several levels. The atmosphere is sophisticated, but not imposing, helped by the soft, upbeat background tunes. Hergetova Cihelna is a cool place to dine, and popular with people of every age range.In warmer months, Hergetova Cihelna opens a large terrace overlooking the river, where visitors can relax and enjoy lunch in the sunshine, or dinner under the heaters, as Prague lights up for the evening.
The cuisine, a full range of international fare, is well prepared and superbly presented. There is also an excellent wine list to suit. Prices are fairly reasonable for such a good location.Aside from the restaurant, there are also several other areas inside Hergetova Cihelna: a cocktail bar, a café and a music lounge.
These parts are separate from the main restaurant, and in the summer local DJ's will occasionally play a few sets here at weekends. In any event, it is good to chill out here with a few drinks before or after dinner.
