C'EST LA VIE

Well known by the strollers for its scenic river-side terrace, settled on a quiet embankment with a reminiscent taste of the romantic 1950’s Paris, packed with an elegant international clientele of gourmets (featuring local high society, but also world famous pop and movie stars), this is the rival of the nearby Kampa Park. Contrary to the latter, it is owned by Czech natives. Zdenek and the charming Zuzana, the owners, take a close care to the guests; while Jirka, one of the most respected chefs in Prague, cooks those splendid specialties -elaborated with Zdenek- which make clients coming back again and again. Somehow influenced by the Asian (mostly Japanese) cuisine, with a light Italian influence, he opportunely keeps the French good taste as a guideline.

From Peking-style duck, to Tandoori-style lamb, there are enough options to satisfy a craving for most continents. On the Czech side you'll find the likes of Czech-style veal or venison goulash with horseradish. Wine is also a priority here with an extensive selection from Europe and North and South America including, of course, a fine Czech selection.
When the weather permits, you can enjoy your meal on the summer terrace while in cooler months the interior provides a similarly elegant setting.
